Instructions:

For sausage hearts, first boil water in a large pot.

Let the sausages slide into the water and boil for about 2 minutes. Then reduce the heat (the water should now only boil slightly), let the sausages steep in it for 10 minutes uncovered and turn a few times if necessary.

In the meantime, decorate the wooden skewers as desired.

Lift the sausages out of the water and let them cool down a bit. Meanwhile, wash the peppers, remove the seeds, cut them into wedges and cut 3 small “arrowheads” (triangles) from them with a sharp knife.

Cut off the ends of the cooled sausages at an angle and stick them onto the prepared wooden skewers. Finally, carefully attach the bell pepper triangles as arrowheads.

Serve sausage hearts.
