Instructions:

Peel onion and garlic cloves and chop very finely. Cut the pumpkin flesh into cubes.

Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, add pumpkin cubes and kitchen herbs and stew briefly. Pour in cream, simmer gently at low temperature for 4-6 minutes, depending on the size of the pumpkin cubes.

Spread evenly in an oiled baking dish.

Mix eggs, fold in cheese, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg (freshly grated). Spread evenly over the pumpkin cubes. Bake the pumpkin gratin in the oven preheated to 180 °C for about 25 minutes.

Arrange the gratin and serve.

Preparation Tip:

If you like, sprinkle black olives on top and bake.
