For the potato casserole, wash the potatoes and cook in water, drain and set aside. Peel the onion and chop finely. Peel the celery and carrot as well and cut into very small cubes.

Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the carrots and celery cubes and continue to sauté for about 3 minutes. Now add the minced meat and saute, stirring, until the meat is cooked through.

Season everything with salt and pepper. Peel and slice the potatoes. Layer the potato slices and the minced meat alternately in a baking dish.

Sprinkle with the Gouda and bake in the oven at 180 °C until the cheese is melted and golden.

Preparation Tip:

The potato casserole can also be sprinkled with feta cheese or mozzarella. A few fresh herbs spice up the casserole a bit more.
