For the pear cake, cream the sugar, vanilla sugar, butter, rum and salt, then add the eggs one at a time. Stir in the flour and baking powder, then add the nuts and chocolate.
Finally, gently fold the pears cut into small cubes into the mixture. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured springform pan and bake the pear cake at 160 °C for about 60 minutes.
Preparation Tip:
Bake the pear cake alternatively with hazelnuts instead of almonds.
