Instructions:

1. Carefully rinse 250g (8oz) of basmati and soak for at least 20 min. Bring 1L of lightly salted water to a boil and simmer with the long grain rice for ten minutes. It does not need to bubble. Strain and loosen with a little bit of butter, then bring to the table.

2. Pilao Rice 250g (8oz) Basmati rinse extensively and soak for at least 20 minutes. Strain. Chop the onion and garlic. Later fry in the oil/butter until lightly golden. Add cumin (optional) & long grain rice (not optional)add. Fry until the long grain rice is no longer milky, in about 5 min. Add 425 ml water, season lightly with salt and bring to boil. Cover with a lid and simmer on very low heat for 15 min (or until water is gone). Do not stir.

Sit for 5 min, loosen and bring to the table.
