For the gingerbread house, first mix all ingredients together, knead into a dough and let rest overnight at room temperature.

Roll out gingerbread not too thin (4 to 5 mm thick) and cut out dough pieces. Brush each gingerbread piece with milk before baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 165 to 175 °C for about 25 minutes.

Cut out 6 different sized stars from the remaining dough, bake for 10 to 14 minutes depending on size and assemble into a Christmas tree.

Cut out small snowmen, little trees, roof tiles, smokestacks, garden fences, wood piles and other garden ornaments and bake for 10 to 14 minutes depending on size.

For decorating, you can use gummy bears, Smarties and different colored sugar or egg white icing for the gingerbread house.
