Peel apples and pears, remove the cores and stems and cut into pieces. Puree in a blender to a fine pulp.
Spread the fruit puree on a paper-lined baking tray and dry at about 70 – 90 °C with a cooking spoon handle clamped in until the fruit leather is still elastic but no more liquid escapes.
Form the fruit leather into a roll and cut it into strips. Store in screw jars in a cool and dry place.
Preparation Tip:
Fruit leather can be made from a wide variety of fruits.
